Before you travel

When travelling, it is strongly recommended that you have:

  • A travel insurance covering medical expenses and possible repatriation

  • A doctor´s statement in English, Swedish or Finnish indicating your exact diagnosis, severity of the disease, possible factors inhibitors and your usual medication

  • If you have self-treatment capability, you should carry your own drugs

Good to know

  • The Finnish Hemophilia Society has NO medical advisory service.

  • Finland is member of the European Union, so the citizens of EU are covered by applicable social security laws and contracts of the Union.

  • In winter, streets are often very slippery. Be careful when walking or driving !
